I sanded the aluminum with 220 then 400 grit, then I primed everything with high heat primer to fill in the scratches.

 

Got them all painted black with high heat paint. I'll redo my intercooler insulation tomorrow to make it look nicer.

Thanks! There is a good chance that the car could start by next weekend if Lexiion is able to come over and help a few days. Basically after I get done with the turbo pipes all that's left is to finish the electrical.

I had to make this piece to connect the vacuum tube to the turbo pipe. The vacuum tube has a special connector on it and this piece fits it. This aluminum piece is welded in after the intercoolers. I wanted to post the drawing in case someone needed it.

 

My dad is a machinist and made it for me while I was back home for Christmas.

 

Here is a pic of the vacuum connector installed in the pipe along with the mount for the bar sensor, it's similar to a MAF sensor. To make this mount I bought some aluminum block and welded it to the tube. I still need to drill and tap the mounting screw for the sensor.

Btw what looks like blood splattered on the floor is candy-red paint I spilled while painting the bumper. I had that paint all over my hands a few times while in public and got some funny looks

 

This is the block I welded in for the MAF sensor. I still need to drill it out for the sensor and the mounting screws.

That's really cool. I suspect that many resto mods and car builders will be using this engine in the future. It's small, light, powerful, fun, plentiful, and cheap! There is over 1 million of them on the road today, I only paid $3k for a drop-out 19k mile engine. Some very simple mods gets you to around 475-500 RWHP but it can go to 800 RWHP if you want to spend the money.

Put everything together for hopefully the last time, looks beautiful. The silver pipe on the right (left side in pic) is just a placeholder. Now that everythings installed I can fabricate the last piece.
