MRT Interceptor Axle Backs
Installed these last weekend. I was skeptical since I really haven't heard much about them, and it was between these and the Roush. I decided on these since I didn't want something TOO loud. I think I made the right decision.

I have only heard of like 2 or 3 people on the forum who have MRT exhaust. Most people choose Roush, but personally I think they are too loud and get to raspy.

I don't have them yet, but I did order them last week. I have a 2014 on order, and I wanted to have them ready for its arrival. I have been looking at a lot of the different options, and was just about sold on those. I went to one of the local shops, and they highly recommended them as their favorites, before I even mentioned that I had been looking at them. I have watched a lot videos on the net, and really like the way the Roush sounds at wot, but was pretty sure that I wouldn't like them cruising down the turnpike everyday. My MRT's will be in this week, and my car, hopefully, in a couple more. I will post up my impressions then.

Cruising: not very loud in the cabin, but it definitely doesn't sound stock.
WOT: sounds awesome. It's not Roush loud, but it has some *****.
Here is a video straight from MRT. The video says max thunder, but they renamed them.

Sounds great - I love the tone. I have the V8 version for my 2010 GT and picked them for the same reason...tone plus minimal resonance noise.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

I picked up my car on thurs, got the windows tinted yesterday, and installed my MRTs today. I just made a quick test run, but they seem very quiet when you aren't in the throttle, and have a pretty nice sort of exotic sound when you step on it. The quality of these is pretty impressive. The tips are really nice, with a rolled edge. I will say, that I prefer appearance of the factory tips on my '14 manual 6 speed. That is strictly opinion, the MRT tips really are nicer. The install was pretty straight forward, I backed the car up on some ramps and just laid on a piece of cardboard, instead of a creaper and had plenty of room to work. I ended up unbolting the forward mounts from the car. I couldn't slide the mufflers forward enough to release them from the hangers. Odd, but the driver side has 3 bolts, but the passenger has only 2 and one of those is directly above the muffler, and a little hard to get to. Definitely release the muffler from the aft hanger first to get more room. The MRTs went on a lot easier, as the mufflers are so much smaller and easier to work around. I will post again after I have lived with them for a couple hundred miles. I put about 200 miles on it with the factory mufflers, and my other car has a Dynomax VT muffler on it, so it will be interesting to see how fond I am of these on a day to day basis!

We have had some storms this week, so I have been driving my old car, but I did get the Mustang out on thurs and friday. I got probably another 175 miles on it with the MRTs. I feel that they are quite a bit louder than I initially thought. However, that is only on acceleration. Once at speed, they go into stealth mode, LOL. Under normal acceleration, the sound is very muscular and pretty loud, not an obvious 6 cylinder sound at all. At higher revs, it takes on a more exotic, sports car sound. I have had side pipes, flowmasters, glass packs, turbos, and cars that I just removed the mufflers from, but this is my first exhaust of this quality. It sounds so good that I went from trying to beat red lights to hoping for them so I can listen to the exhaust! It sounds that good!
