Thumbs up Koni's installed on my V-6

I installed the rear Koni's (orange) last week. Its been so cold but yesterday i put the Koni (orange) front struts on. I think the nose dive has been cut down by 40% to 50%. The ride feels just as smooth but things happen faster. The nose dive under hard braking now springs up twice as fast as before. I think its called re-bound? The same thing happens when you hit a bump. Maybe Sam can explane what i'm feeling better than i can. I'm going to look for some bad roads today and give them a good test.

Those are the same Shocks and Struts that Sam recommended for mine David.
Glad the ride has not suffered.
So, where is the pics of the Watts Link?

Sorry could not resist

It really has been cold.
BTW, did you use a spring compressor on the front or just use the jack method to relieve the spring?

They were $399 from Sam. My car isn't lowered.

I also had to buy two 2010 G.T. 500 strut mounts for $100.

The Koni STR.T's are $399 for the set of 4... I think you can get the mounts for around $70 some places. I do not sell the Ford mounts, I do sell the Steeda HD mounts (camber plates) that give you camber adjustment). But since David wasn't lowering the car, that wasn't going to be an issue. There are currently NO aftermarket setups that work with the 2011 strut mounts so you do have swap those to run Koni's (or any other aftermarket strut).

Anyway.... I'm glad you like them David, and it's proof that even though the stock shocks aren't terrible, they are easily improved on. Can't ask for more than better handling and control, less annoying dive--and no harm (generally improved) ride quality.... and oh yeah, a lifetime warranty too! Plenty in stock too, fwiw.

Thank you David for taking the time to post your review. It's always appreciated when outside opinions with some detail are posted so folks can get a better sense of how things work.

Sam Told me they would work with my Vogtland that have a .8/1.2, and I do believe on Koni's site it did say they would work with a mild drop.

They work great with stock and mild lowering springs... Pro-kit, Steeda, H&R Sport or OE Sport, etc. They start to get a bit less happy on things that start to get too far out, H&R Super Sports, Sportlines... and H&R Race. The lower you go, and the stiffer the springs the more you are asking from dampers meant to do a specific job, under the Koni Sport area of damping.

Up-date: I have tried and tried to make my Mustang "float", a lot of people have complained about this happening with the factory dampers. I can't get it to "float" so i feel safe to tell everyone, the Koni's (orange) did away with this problem. The ride is a little more stiff but with more overall control, not bad at all .

Very nice. I'm about ready to order the Steeda Sport springs and the STR.Ts myself.
