Just Bolted On The Borla Touring Axleback Exhaust

SWEET JEEBUS this exhaust friggin' rocks! My 2012 V6 sounds probably about 3 times louder than stock now and to me, it sounds deeper than 3 old V8's I've owned.

Cruising at 45-60mph with your foot off the gas, all I hear is road noise. There is absolutely no drone whatsoever. When I'm stopped, I hear a really nice deep rumble that put an evil grin on my face. As soon as you give it gas, it sounds like a muscle car should with a low to mid tone that sounds overly aggressive but not overly loud and obnoxious.

Installation took a couple of hours. It's hot here and I took a few water breaks. After you remove your old exhaust, you will have to rip off and break a spot-weld point on each pipe to re-use the stock clamps. You will also have to un-screw 3 extra bolts on the drivers side to take off the front rubber mounts and slide them on the new exhaust first and then re-bolt it up. There is a bar in the way on the left side that makes it impossible to hook the new muffler in unless you do.

These 2 mufflers together are also about 25lbs lighter than the stock Ford mufflers.

If you own a 2011+ V6, buy this axleback exhaust.

Ha! Hey now Borla actually claims on their website that their exhausts increase performance 7-15%. I don't know if that's true or not, I've never seen any numbers. The car does get up and go alot quicker now with the Borla, Airaid, and Bama Tune combo though. Sooooo 15% it is! I saw it on them thar internets, so it has to be true....

If the performance feels that good with just an axel back, you think a full cat-back would be even better? I ask cause I'm thinking of getting a Magnaflow Street cat-back for mine.

Not yet, I don't have a good enough source to record the sound right.

I think that it would be more work for equal results.... unless you were having a shop install it, of course.

Wellbits not the work so much as the performance I'm looking for. So you think an axel back would yield the same results as a full cat-back?
