Has anyone dyno tested a CAI on the 3.7 V6?
Were testing a new V6 CAI and wanted to know what real people are getting? Not manufacture claims, but real 3rd party dyno numbers.
has anyone done this yet? Please let me know and please post the graph.

Looks like I see threads of poeple getting them, odd no one has tested them.
Yes, the 5.0 is hot right now, but when we have a V6 running just as good as last years GT I'd say it can easily turn into a 3.7 world. This thing is killer.
We dyno tested an automatic and put down as much as 2010 GT's did.
Word to the wise, if you have a new $25-30k car and buy a $300+ product that claims XX HP without a tune, spend the $50-75 and dyno the car to make sure it's running a safe A/F.
Thanks and more info to come

I believe C&L is the only c.a.i. being sold for the 2011 V-6 so far. On their own web site they haven't posted horsepower numbers or that they have even released it for sell. I've had mine for over a week. I'm not going to have a dyno done. Their c.a.i. is sold as a 'no tune'. I feel my Mustang was running a little rich before the c.a.i., maybe it will lean it up some. ![Smile](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I did do a g-tech 0 to 60 (same road everytime) a couple days ago. It was 5.5 seconds. A slower time with the c.a.i. because of more wheel spin at the start.
I'll do more test as time goes by.
Good luck on your testing for a V-6 c.a.i.

MMR has a 2011 V6 CAI out there too, I believe they are claiming pretty big HP gains, like as much as 14 HP, don't think that is peak but somewhere along the curve.
Yes, I would like to see some independent dyno testing done.
And would like to see Steeda's V6 CAI soon.

Looking forward to it. I keep thinking there is little or no gain to be had with a CAI on the 2011 v6 because there are only two out yet and neither manufacturer has gone so far as to post expected HP gains. The C&L comments they had on their website kind of scare people like me into thinking that the stock intake already flows more than the throttle body. Maybe just poorly worded but they seemed vague at best and left it open with a comment about "independent testing" being done. Hopefully the people who've bought that setup don't end up finding out they're making no power or worse yet losing it.
I'm anxiously awaiting your final testing results of the prototype model. Is it going to be a carbon fiber tube like your other models?

Well, we tested on an auto today with awesome results.
I'm not a vendor here, so I can't really give any info without going against the rules.
It can be found very easy though.
Thanks
Jay

Okay i might be the dumb one then. Ive been excited to see your results. I went to the website and under the 2011 v6 intake you still show "testing results to come soon"!?!?
It's not on your blog or news section and I google search jlt cold air intake 2011 v6 auto with no luck.
