GT500 Axle back mufflers

GT500 Axle back mufflers
I was wondering if the GT500 axle back mufflers can be used on the 2012 V6? I think they may need welding due to a difference in size but has anyone ever done that? If so, how is the sound? They are so much cheaper than the Ford Racing mufflers for the V6….
