Ford Racing X pipe

I seen a Ford Racing X pipe on American Muscle for roughly 150 dollars for the 11/12 V6. Just curious but what kind of benefits would I have of adding this to my mustang? Anything noticeable? And the only modification I have to my exhaust is the flowmaster axlebacks, do I need to swap anything else out of my exhaust to use this piece? And finally if I can add this part will it void any warranties?

Your car has an x-pipe already, the FRPP piece is just a little different configuration and would maybe change the sound a little but won't add any power to speak of.

To install it you just cut the original x-pipe out and clamp the new one in, nothing else has to be changed or added.

Is the slight sound change worth that amount of money? Or should I just be satisfied with a CAI and the axlebacks?

Not worth even considering in my opinion.

As to CAI and axle-backs, totally up to you. Tuner is the biggest power producer for the money, CAI would be next, axle-back is for sound only, no power to be had from mufflers.

Well I already have the axlebacks and the CAI. I plan on a tune next once my warranty is up from ford. But besides the tune what's my next best upgrade?

A tune is no more against the warranty than the CAI but it's a lot easier to remove for warranty work.

And if you are waiting for the warranty to run out, it'll be a while before you get to 6 years/60K miles won't it?

Gears are your next best performance upgrade, but again, same warranty concern as any mod and not something you can just remove easily.

Hmm that makes me think of another question for you. If you encounter a problem with the vehicle after its been tuned, but you reload the factory tune back on the vehicle, will they be able to tell that you ever retuned your vehicle?

Reload stock tune and then disconnect the battery for a short time, then they can only see that an event happened but not specifically what it was.
