Does This Count as an Engine Mod? 427w in 2012 Mustang
1 Year Anniversary Update:
March 2015 - the OEM fuel pump died. It seems that we were abusing it by running it full-tilt all the time in a return style system. We removed and disassembled the OEM fuel hat and installed a Walbro pump into it, and everything is peachy.
Having a difficult time finding anyone to run A/C lines. One place quoted $2600. That's just stupid, considering everything else is already in place.
Took the car to the track and ran 13.2 @ 117.8mph. With a better 60-foot time (need tires, and drag-specific suspension mods), that's an 11-second trap speed. I'm good with that, considering it's "ancient technology" in what someone called a "cobbled together v8", and it's all motor - no juice, no forced induction.
Had the alternator rebuilt. I bought it used, and it seemed to not be charging as well as it should. It was originally a 130-amp part, but I had it rebuilt as a 150-amp.
Having mixed results at car shows. Got a 7 out of 10 possible points for my engine compartment at the last one.
Added electric cutouts. It's loud as f*ck when they're open.

God I love that car. Easily in the top 5 best cars/projects on this website. That's what a hotrod is supposed to sound like.
Can't wait to hear it with the cut outs. Great job man, major respect for doing what you've done with it.

That car is awesome. That idle alone is badass.

That rumpity rumpity thump of a push rod V-8 with a big cam is so classic, it speaks for its self. Like I said, that is what a hot rod is supposed to sound like. That is what those cars needed from the beginning to back up the look they had.
Now this guy has gone and done it, and done it right. When you roll through town, through a cruise in and that thing it rattling windows and hitting a lick like that, you've won. I don't care how fast it is or isn't, its a BAMF and everyone is attracted to it.

Note to all the new TMS members.....
I'd strongly advise that you read the whole thread on this buildup. This is the most badazz S197 on this forum, and in my opinion the most badazz S197 anywhere.
Welcome back...haven't seen anything new from you in a while. As usual, an amazing video and car. Thanks for posting.

Not much happening. Still want to make some changes, but SWMBO is giving me grief about the money I spent.

Sounds ridiculous, but does this car somehow pass emissions? If not, how are you DDing it?
