Are you using the stock mufflers or do you have aftermarket ones?

Anthony I've got Borla S-types.

I'm really considering getting the h pipe this week. It's supposed to be in the 40s here next week, warm enough for car mods!

From the videos I've seen of the h pipe I think it will be a bit too raspy for my tastes. I will probably have resonators installed shortly after the h pipe, but we'll see how it goes.

The headers can wait until it gets quite a bit warmer.

Aaaah That's right. I think we even talked about the your S-types. I dunno how I forgot that. Yeah I think it will be a good set up tho and you should still see some gains from.

Can you post a before and after too? I also have borla s-types and have always wondered what they would sound like with the h-pipe.. Or even x-pipe

Well guys I ordered the H pipe this morning. It's supposed to be warm enough next weekend to get it installed. I'll post a before and after video.

I can't wait!

Anthony - The CAI is on the truck and will be delivered today! I also received my updated tune for it today, too. I'll probably put it on tomorrow night or Saturday.

does anybody know if putting in the ford racing x pipe makes any difference in sound when you leave the stock cats?

SWEET! Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions or concerns. I decided to hold off on the H-pipe and get gears instead.

It will make it a little deeper sounding. I only got it to make my cat-back a TRUE cat-back as the cat-backs available for us really only go from the x-pipe back.

I never had any popping and the FRPP is not going to make it very deep only slightly more deep. If you want very deep you will probably have to change out the axle backs or get a H-pipe.

i have bassani axle backs and its deep but i still want it deeper. is yours a manual or a auto? i think the autos have resonators behind the cats but the manuals dont so that might be why yours doesnt pop.

The autos have resonator tips on the mufflers, the manuals don't. I believe the rest of the exhaust system is the same.

You can visually see the difference on V6 cars between auto or manual. The manual tips are large diameter and open until the weld seam at the muffler. The auto tips are short and welded on over an inner tube. It's hard to describe but looking at them it's easy to see the difference.

yeah i realize they have different tips but autos also have a resonator right behind the cats on each side and my manual didnt come with those resonators.

Manuals have resonators after the cats also. I have them and so does everyone else. Not sure why you don't. Mines has them and I'm pretty sure everyone else that has a manual in this thread does also.

seems that the 2011 and some of the 2012 m6 cars didnt have resonators.

Seems like nothing but a lot of guessing in that thread.

Everyone is trying to determine if they have resonators based on if their cars 'burble and pop'.

I'm fairly certain that all cats/mid-pipe/over-axle pipes are all the same on V6 cars regardless of transmission choice.

Well it looks like I'll be ordering the H pipe from another vendor. Lethal Performance apparently 'forgot' to tell me the part was on back order for at least another week. I spoke to them last week on the phone to confirm shipping info, they said nothing about the part being back ordered. I called them today to get an update and "it looks like that part is on back order for another week or so".

Screw that, I cancelled the order. All they would have had to do was communicate to me up front that the part is on back order and things would have been fine. If I hadn't called them I would have just been waiting for another 2 weeks with my thumb up my rear.

THANKS FOR NOTHING LETHAL PERFORMANCE.

Now I'm starting to re-think the whole plan and may just go with a high flow catted pipe.

That sucks man. Bad customer service will turn me off from a vendor also. Hopefully you can find a new one.
