Hey a guy can dream, you guys killed it. Lol. How much do you think the port and polish will gain cause that was on the list to? Also I may do nothing to it cause a change of events has given me the opportunity to pick up a new Shelby :0

I have seen time and again that going to a higher gear ratio will actually drop the whp/tq numbers slightly. I forget why that is, an engineer explained it to us once, but I have seen the numbers. We're not talking about a huge change, and obviously the car is faster, but in terms of sheer numbers it comes into play a bit (like 1-2% difference). It's hardly noticeable, but it's there so I just thought I'd bring it up for edu-ma-cation.

The aluminum driveshaft also affects the numbers slightly. It's pretty basic -- it takes less effort to spin the lighter driveshaft, so there is less drivetrain loss, which translates to higher numbers. Not a huge difference, but another 2-3% counts (probably 6-10whp).
I too was hoping for 300 rwhp however with an automatic I'm gonna loose power numbers. I do have 3:73 gears along with a one piece aluminum driveshaft. Are my numbers a bit low considering I have an automatic? You could be right. I'm not sure what my rwhp numbers should be at for my mods?

Lol. Sorry bro to kill the dream. Keep the dream alive. I'm guessing you will hit 310 to 315 rwhp

I'm curious, can the V6 take new cams? Or are there not any for it yet?

I think there is only one place making larger cams for the 11 plus V6 models. I can't remember what the name of the place is. AM doesn't carry them and none of the other big chain shops are either. I think is some some outfit. I guess manufactures figure it doesn't really pay to make them because majority v6 owners would not spend the the money to put bigger cams in. Us v6 guys would just buy the V8 model instead.

I suppose so.
I played with a new V6 guy yesterday here in Houston and it sounded awesome!
Aftermarket pipes for sure but, man, Ford really has finally put some ***** in the V6. I bet it'd sound awesome with a turbo-back exhaust.

The 11 plus sixers are bad a$$. Ford stepped up and gave an awesome platform to work with. My auto V6 dyno just shy of 300 rwhp and with the 3:73 gears and one piece aluminum driveshaft, It can move. Lol
