Sold my roush mufflers as well and plan on getting the Flowmasters. The roush mufflers have a great sound and are loud... But there's that occasional high pitched shrill that makes them not worth it in the long run. The fun factor of the roush mufflers doesn't last very long when your car is a DD IMO.
However, The guy who bought them from me loves them! I was happy too!! i tripled my money.

I like my Roush. I had second thoughts when I first installed them inasmuch as they were so much louder than the stock mufflers. But you know, it's kinda like living near a railroad crossing; after a while, the "noise" just becomes a part of your environment. YMMV; my driving style really doesn't exploit the potential of the machine.

My Bassani axle backs should show up tomorrow. I have read great things about them, so took the plunge. Hopefully I am not disappointed.
Btw, I have the same CAI as pictured above. No tune yet. Was told by my local speed shop it really isn't needed.

Another route for a little more $$$ are the FRPP axlebacks, sound great and deep at idle and great when accelerating also. Consensus is that they have a good overall tone and volume level. I own them and to really up the sexiness of your car, they do it. With the CAI you'll notice a slight difference and it makes a cool sound sure, however a 93 hybrid tune will make you cream your jeans the first time you use it.

I was looking to spend that much, was looking at the bassani's for about $500 or so but I was convinced otherwise and trust me it's worth it. But hey whatever you get I would love to hear them.

I just thought of something: Does anyone besides me hear anything in the Roush exhaust that reminds them of the sound of a WW II fighter plane... like the original Mustang (P-51), say?
