3.73 or 4.10
Ok so I have a 2014 v6 automatic. It is a daily driver and I do about 80% city and 20% hwy. Now this is all the performance things I have or want to put. Magnaflow comp exhaust, one piece ds, bbk shortly headers, airaid cai, bbk 73mm tb, accel coils, bama 93 hybrid tune, and some new spark plugs that r +1 colder.. so now with all that being said I just don't know which gears would be best for me and I would really appreciate everyones opinion. I also will probably never see the track. And another thing what do u guys think my rwhp with all those mods be at? Thanks guys
I'd say 3.73s to make the 20% hwy or any long trips not hurt so much. However, I still have the factory 2.73s in mine, so what do i know?
I'm not positive on these, so I'm sure others will correct some of them:
catbacks dont' really net any hp; mostly sound
shorties should gain 7 hp at peak iirc; biggest gain is in midrange torque
cai & tune is around 10-15 hp
coils probably around 5 hp
tb around 5 hp; bigger midrange gain
sparks maybe 5 hp
I would guess rwhp will be around 300 at that point. AFM used to have a really handy chart with 1/4 mile times and mods (better indicator of performance than dynos imo), but it was taken down.

I personally went with the 3.73 package in my 2011 GT and have absolutely no complaints. It's a crazy difference over stock and I still get good gas mileage! While I don't think there is a bad option, I would recommend 3.73's.
Hope this helps!

I'd go with 3.73s. My GT Track Pack came with them. There is a bit of whine at highways speeds, but the car absolutely rips through each gear. I like them a lot. Perfect gear for street driving IMO. My 70 mph RPM sit right around 2200.
Yea my mind is pretty set on 3.73 I just don't want to miss out on the 4.10s lol it's hard to explain but I really thank everyone for there opinion. I really want to hit 300 rwhp. And I know I can.... I want the bbk shortly headers because I want low end a lot. But I'm unsure about a o/r pipe. Because I already have the magnaflow competition exhaust and I love the sound and with the o/r I thinkit might be to loud if it were set with the straight pipe exhaust
You really have to watch it. Some time I wish I had the 331's.
I have a 2006 Mustang V6 Pony car. Even with the GT wheels and tires it is hard to keep from spinning. Have you looked at the Ford racing stuff. They have a great tune package for the V6.
Good Luck

As far as the X-Pipe goes.. If you have the Competition axle/catback it's probably already really loud. The X-Pipe will make it a LOT louder. The tone will sound the same but it will just be a lot more aggressive! This is completely up to you.
Let us know if we can be of any assistance or if you have any questions at all!

Well one main reason off the o/r pipe is because I dint want a raspy sound I hate rice burners that's y I got a mustang lol.. I love the deep aggressive sound of the comp exhaust.. thanks to AM. So u think if I get the o/r pipe do u think it will keep the aggressive deep sound? And make it louder or give me a loud raspy sound?

That's an axleback that's merely for sound or maybe a 1hp increase. Catbacks, esp with 3" upgraded pipes will increase hp, torque and throttle response. depending on the pipe size, should increase hp around 8-10.
And if he goes with headers+catback...he's probably looking at 20+hp increase.
Catback won't provide any gains? LOL??

isn't most of the catback gain from losing the cats though? the collector is still 2.25", so I don't understand why a 2.5" pipe downstream will be helpful when you retain the 2.25" bottleneck.

catback with 3" piping provide the most gain with turbo.
catback with 2.5" piping provide the most gain with headers and/or going catless.
a catback alone will provide minimal gains. But the gains will be there for sure.
obviously if you go 3" pipe on a stock system with no other mods = bottleneck.
to sum up, you can have 3" or 2.5" with full bolt on and you will gain quite a few ponys!

Your experience may differ from mine. Regardless, in the end 2K + or so worth of bolt-ons and a tune picked up 40 - 50whp over the 250ish baseline whp that the car comes with from the factory.

Ye lth and x pipe r good for high gains but I would much rather get the shorty headers and x pipe.. May lose a lil hp but the deeper sound is better.. I have the magnaflow comp and I want the ahorty headers.. so after hearing this video I'm probably gonna go with the bbk high flow catted x pipe.

I was told by my local speed shop that for the $ to HP gains the TB is not a good mod so I skipped it. They said I would pick up maybe 1hp from it. So I went with BBK LTH, BBK short catted X pipe, Bassani axlebacks, Airaid CAI and a custom dyno tune and made it to 300whp on my V6 manual. With all of the same mods my whp was 280 with a Bama 93 tune. Also I have the PP 3.31's and I am getting 26 - 28ish mpg on the highway. I would think any gearing higher like you are suggesting will cause your mileage in the city to suffer.

Always remember the HP gains in cars are always "complementary and collaborative". which means the TB alone will net you 1hp gain. But a TB+CAI+TB Spacer+ported manifold+tune will net you close to 30rwhp or more!
If you decide to go full bolt on, just make sure that the TB is your last mod.
If you want sound, a TB spacer has a sexy turbo whistle. And for the money its a really nice mod.
