'13 v6 top speed limited to 112mph ?

Is that true? I obviously don't have mine yet and I just read that online, even my passat has gone faster than that... apparently it's because it has one driveshaft so the vibrations after 112 mph are too much, but the GT has two and it doesn't have a speed limit.

I'm hoping that's not true because I don't know when I'll be able to tune it since that's the only way to get the speed limiter off ( I think )

The v6 wasn't designed to be a go fast car... hence the gt boss and cobra versions...

Well that's disappointing, no point in even bothering to go to the 1/4 track anytime soon then. I understand there are the other much faster stang models, but even the v6 camaro goes faster from factory.

Anyone that has a tuned '13 v6, how fast have you comfortably gone without any shaking? Even better if you have the performance package since it will be more accurate to what I'll experience.

pretty sure you could do about 130 before the driveshaft explodes..
but don't remember, search for videos, there's a bunch of them

Why not go to the track, you're in no danger of hitting the limiter until you get into some serious mods.

I wasn't aware little girls drove cars altogether, let alone one that does 0-60 in low 6s.

Well can it be reinforced or changed?
I've been in my friend's fg2 (2009 si) with only exhaust/header/cai work and he's done 161... this is very disappointing

Tune it, but just be careful. A driveshaft should be your next mod if you're really going to be going over 113mph often.

No, you will not hit 112mph in the quarter with a stock or even lightly modded V6 Mustang. Depending on how good of a driver you are you will be right around 100mph...

Ok I'll add that to the list of things to get before the car arrives, I'm in the market for a better sounding exhaust since it'll be too quiet, and I was wondering if I can just buy
this this
and just stick it on there with the stock set up or do I need the longtube headers and an axleback? Didn't want to make a new thread to avoid clutter :/

I won't drive no more than 10 mph on the road, the track is where I will reach higher speeds. I'm probably the only 20 year old out there with no tickets or wrecks on his record lol
