Who is going to supercharge their 5.0?

If I do anything else (other than sticky tires), that will be it. Steeda sells the whipple and magnusson. Anyone know how the motors are responding and holding up to the chargers? I've always sprayed my cars. This time, I will go supercharged if I get a power adder. any experiences?

Well I've heard only good news about them, however, that doesn't mean that there might be problems we haven't heard of. The large concesus is keep the boost low around 8 psi maybe up to 10 psi since the compression ratio is so high already. This is something ill be doing once I have some spare money to drop on it. There are many companies making them and all show good results. I am personally leaning towards a kenne bell setup with a water/meth injection system. That should give some pretty awesome numbers. If your still wanting a warranty then the frpp/whipple setup is what you'll want to go with. Edlebrock also has a supplemental powertrain warranty for their e-force kit, which also runs on lower boost, so might be the safest way to go. That's all that I know of as far as warranties go. If anyone else knows of any feel free to chime in.

What's the deal with most of the superchargers being for manual trans only?? Are there any superchargers for autos for the 5.0

Not sure why. I think it has something to do with the stall coverter or maybe even shift points. There are a few, but definetly not as many as with manuals. I would think frpp would have one for autos.

This will be my set-up soon enough. After all the important stuff is taken care of. Ring, wedding, house, etc. So maybe 1.5yr, 2 tops.

I dunno, I just don't like how the intake is sitting on top of the engine and in the back. Seems like it'll be sucking in nothing but how air. If they fixed that I'm sure it would work better/make more power.

Don't think that will change until the pullies an belts are in the back. Anyway, the air isn't in the intake very long. Less than a second.

your set up looks pretty chill. if youre looking for a power adder then id go with a kenne bell supercharger system. check out their website, they have multiple options for the 2011+ mustangs. hope this helps

I plan to add a power adder to mine but I've got every intention of it being a Turbo. If I supercharged it'd be a roots style blower, but to me the Turbo seems to make more sense money wise.

For those still on the fence about getting a supercharger, maybe this will help.

http://mustangsdaily.com/blog/2011/0...1-mustang-5-0/

Once my first set up is complete, it'll have the Boss intake and nitrous along with abunch of other mods. Once I've had my fun road racing, I'm going to go with a built motor and a Kenne Bell supercharger. They're offering the most power increase and are very easy to upgrade.

Side note- the Vortech and Procharger systems look real clean!

Im making just under 600 to the wheels with a 2.3 Whipple n other mods. The car runs smooth as silk and accelerates like a mother frackin raped ape. If I had to do it all over again I would. Whipple whine FTMFW!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure we agree on the route to go for every single mod on these 5.0s... Lol

Hopefully I'll be next spring. Leaning towards the Whipple, but still doing my research.

Magnacharger looks good. Do you wish you would have gotten the one that almost matches you car color. Grabber blue is great but Im biased since thats what mine is.
