Yep. I've got the Barton Bracket as well. It definitely helped, but didn't cure the problems. I was hoping the two together would give me a more solid feeling, but the vibration was unbearable. I think I'll just hold out until I can pick up a MGW shifter.

 

I bought and installed the Whiteline Mount Bushing about a month after I picked up my 14 GT (new).
I also had alittle bit of a problem getting it fit in properly (also used grease and WD40), but once I got it in I found it did drastically tighten up shifting, and I did not notice any substantial increase in NVH.
Wondering if maybe while you were hammering that thing in if possibly you loosened something else up?

Agreed. I don't think there's anything to loosen up in that area. The tranny end is steel. The bottom of the shifter assy is steel with some rubber/plastic. The piece you're beating into place is hard rubber... I tried adjusting it with no avail. Then took it out all together. Its all as it was before I installed the bracket, so that wasn't the issue. I think it really is luck of the draw. I doubt the area that bushing fits in had tight tolerances from Ford, as nothing else was meant to go in there. This would explain why it works great for some and others it gives nightmarish vibration.

 

You're removing a transmission mount, so the tranny is relatively loose while installing this. It doesn't just go back in however you bolt it up, it should be properly aligned to avoid loading the mounts incorrectly... Which would cause excessive NVH. You can do it with the stock mounts if you want... Just loosen everything up and install it incorrectly

 

I modified mine also. Nvh was horrible. i took the sawzall to it and it is much better now, and easier to install. This was the Steeda/Prothane product.
