Hey Gabe, thanks for choosing us for your supercharger build. First things, your pulley I would go with a 3.25 pulley or a 3.125 pulley. 3.25 is good for 10lbs and the 3.125 is for around 11. I would go more then that if you're going to run 93 octane.

You're gonna love the build, the same exact one I had our 2011 GT. We used a 3.25 pulley and was able to get 624rwhp.

Yessir, its all about the tune. I wouldn't go more than 650rwhp on 93 octane.

Thanks Jay! I'm gonna have an awesome tuner do his magic so not worried about the tune.

That 624rwhp on your '11 .... Was it through stock cats?

That is nasty indeed! So, I'm assuming you were close to 700hp at the crank? What else did you have for mods? Was it just the Whipple and supporting tune?
I'm thinking BAP, different spark plugs, larger injectors and such along with the tune. Who did the tune for you guys?

624rwhp + 15% is 718.75hp (at the crank)

Got a call a couple of days ago about a 160-lb pkg on a skid that's on its way, the shipping company wanted to schedule the delivery date ... it's set for next Friday, a week from today.

Pretty sure today I secured a shop to do it in though ...

Just for space and tools right? The rest is on your own? I mean the actual labor and hard (but rewarding) work

Heated space at a friend's business. My own tools, my own labor.

At least that's what I WANT ... I REALLY want to do it myself.

Got a quote today of $1500+ ..... no thanks!

Yep that's what I was quoted too. $1000 to $1500. No thanks. Now that I've done it, even if it costs half that, I'd do it myself again. It was so much fun.

I'm stoked for you gabe. Post pics when it arrives. Did you get polished or black?

Thanks! I got black, to continue my black/gray theme.

The cool thing about the shop's location is it's very central to at least 2 other friends that don't mind wrenching, and 1 of those has already assisted in 4 other blower installs, including his Roots blower that's on his '05 V6 convertible, a car that's now sporting a T56 transmission, 8.8 rearend, and many body and suspension mods, the car's sick, and done very tastefully.

With the ID1000's he doesn't need a BAP until he's pushing around 675 which then Gabe should start thinking about a new block

With 624 I was using 47lbs injectors, BAP, plugs you need on any blower setup, JLT CAI, Driveshaft and off road x pipe, now I was also running 18's when I dynoed. You'll lose a good 5% on a dyno read with big heavy wheels, the DS helps on the dyno as well.

So with the stock Whipple airbox and through the stock cats, with a 3.25 pulley what do you expect I'll be putting down?

Also, do you know if it will include a boost gauge, and if not, which one do you recommend?

I think I'd get the Roush pod that goes in the left dash vent ...

Gabe have you seen my build thread? If not take a look at that… It should have most of the answers to your questions.

I do recommend the Roush vent gauge pod as that is what I have. The install is super easy. As for gages, I went with Defi... Known for their quality and accuracy. Pricier, but worth the entry.

My guess is you will be putting down around 575 at the wheels.

So you bought your kit from hypermotive?

I almost got my rims and tires from them. Super nice folks. As for the Defi gauge, did you see my vid of it in action? Lemme find it and post it for you.
