What shifter does my Boss have? MGW?
Title being stated, I'm 90% sure it is a MGW shifter...
Back story:
I bought my Boss used in September '13. It was having issues going into reverse:
https://themustangsource.com/f804/12...riding-526401/
While it's at the dealer getting looked at, I get a call, hey this shifter is probably the issue and its an aftermarket one... so they wouldn't go passed there.
I took it apart and here's what I found:
I'm almost 100% sure its an MGW...
The problem is I have to row through 1 & 2 before I can go into Reverse... EVER single time!
Since it is an aftermarket part, I figured this is the place to post.
Any idea what the issue could be?
Btw, it has the Boss shifter, so it looked normal.
Thanks for your help!

So after going to MGW and watching their installation video, I'm really sure its an MGW. I haven't been able to look underneath the car though since I don't have my own jack and stands yet.

You do have a MGW shifter. There is an adjustment you can make for the reverse issue, do a search on MGW shifter & go through the posts. I don't have a MGW, & I don't remember exactly what the adjustment was. You can also contact George @ MGW & I'm sure he can help you out.

It's very simple to adjust, there is a nut on the right side of the shifter just below the gold part, break that nut loose (use a socket or a boxed end wrench) mine was super tight. On the opposite side of that nut is the stop for the 1-2 gate, it has a small hole in it, just stick a small Allen wrench or something in there and turn it one way or the other, once it shifts good tighten the jam nut and your good to go.

Wow! I am hoping this is all it is...
If y'all haven't looked at my other thread...
The issue is that when I try and go into reverse, it wants to grind and not fully engage unless i row through 1 & 2 first.
Knowing that, y'all say its just the nut adjustment?
And yes, top two are my pics.

Krohn did you get it fixed? MGW already in your car is a godsend then
FYI, I must be one of the few MGW owners who never had to adjust any setting or reverse lockout etc ... I just installed and perfect from get go.
