Don't forget the fuzzy dice
Other than that, what are you trying to do with the car? Just a nice daily driver / street car?
Tuner/suspension/window tint/chin splitter/rear spoiler ?
One of the things I love about these cars is how many things are available for them to customize them ...

When you say fix, do you mean you broke something or are you talking about modding?
If you're talking about modding it depends on what you're going for. Just keep in mind that at 412 hp, you aren't really lacking anything in the power department, the S197 (and almost all mustangs) lack greatly in the suspension and handling department. With that said I would start with lowering springs, shocks/struts, lca and relocation brackets, uca and torque mount, and an adjustable panhard rod.
O yea, don't forget wheels and tires too.
Give us a little more info (goals, budget, etc) and we can help you more

So you want more power and not necessarily suspension? Both powertrain mods and suspension mods are performance mods. What's the point in adding power if you cannot adequately put it to the ground? This is why I'm recommending suspension. But if you want more power then add power, it's your car.
Aside from intake, tune, axle backs, there really aren't many "little" powertrain mods... Except maybe an offroad midpipe. You could also change the throttle body but that's pretty negligible and seems to quite often come with tuning troubles.
You could swap injectors and go E85 but that's not really optimal for a DD. you could change the driveshaft but I wouldn't call that "little" either.
On the other hand there are plenty of little things you could do to suspension that drastically changes the car

Get a custom tune and that will allow you to get all the power out of your CAI and exhaust upgrades. Then what grabberblue said...suspension. Rear LCA with traction brackets(move the rear attachment point of the LCA down) will go a long way to controlling wheel hop. Nice meaty tires also help a lot for traction and handling...I would suggest a 295 - 305 in the rear 275 or 285 in the front. Upgrade your brake pads(eg. Hawk HPS), brake lines(goodridge) and get some ATE super blue brake fliud.
Excepting the tires you can get all that done for about $1500 assuming mostly DIY.

There are a bunch of things you can do to these cars but first we would need to know what you plan on doing with it? What are your plans for the car? Let us know what it is you're looking for and we can steer you in the right direction.

Let's not start a CAI war on the mustang source again. I disagree from first hand experience, granted, the majority of the performance gains are from a tune, why tune a bone stock car when you want to modify it?
