Vortech install cometed... Questions?
Troy, this is interesting... I always thought steeda was good. no? This is correct. After installing my smaller pulley and new intake, I went with JDM Engineering. Couldn't be happier. Remote tuned me from day 1. 3 revisions so far. Everything spot on. Getting on dyno soon so they can do the very last fine tuning. My afrs are already spot on tho. To the op, so you're telling me you bought and installed a vortech kit with no tune???

Gonna go the route and contact Lund and get it done right
I've been through 11 tune revisions now but that includes switching to a 3.47 pulley and then back to a 3.60 pulley.
The car was safe to drive WOT after I think 3 or 4. We've been working on some small drive ability issues in the meantime
Impressive but that can't be good for longevity, can it? Regardless of quality of tune (I'm sure it's good), I'm just talking sheer power. I thought ~600 is the most you want to make at the wheels to avoid any stock component failures?

So I got ahold of Lund sr and gave all my info
That my car is a 13 mustang gt and my mod list requesting 600 rwhp or close to and he replies back that I have a 3v and can't reach those numbers.....WTF!!!!

718whp on stock internals? Stock tranny and rear end? Impressive but that can't be good for longevity, can it? Regardless of quality of tune (I'm sure it's good), I'm just talking sheer power. I thought ~600 is the most you want to make at the wheels to avoid any stock component failures?
OH!!! LOL, now you tell me
Impressive. I couldn't tell from the avatar, description, or lack of sig. Complete sleeper. I think I need to do the same on mine. Make it appear stockish more, even on the forum. haha...
Nice car and setup, sir.

It is a sleeper, you can't even hear the blower much at all.
Thanks.
I purchased the remote tune from Lund last night.
New plugs going in today.
The learning process on the vortech has been awesome, can't wait till it's running correctly though.

Go with the Lund remote tune . They know forced induction . A few pulls at WOT and you're done . All you need is the tuner and a computer to data log . Plus the customer service is great , the guys at lund have always got back with me when I had a question . Only problem is they only do business through there website via email so you would have to make an account . They don't do phone calls
It is a pretty neat process. When you start with the WOT logs the tune will be really rich and very conservative on the timing just to make sure the car is responding like it should. Then they'll start to lean it out and add timing. It's neat to feel the difference a couple degrees of timing makes
Had a Paxton 2200 on my 05 and the noise drove me nutz. Mine wasn't a whistle, more like a crunching noise at idle when the blower would spin. I took it to Paxton and they said the noise was normal. Sad to say but was the reason I got rid of the blower.
