______________________________________________

Thought I should start a build journal, maybe more for my own benefit than anything else. I intend for this thread to be a place where I can vet my ideas and show the progression of my ride.

Originally I purchased a 2012 Mustang GT-Premium in April of 2012, and spent the summer modifying it, but it was totaled by another driver in the fall of 2012. It was replaced by a 2011 GT-Premium with the same miles, being the current build. The '11 is black with black leather interior, with a vertical white stripe on each seat. The basic building blocks include a 5.0, MT-82, and basic 3.31 gears. From there I've added the Ford Racing MGTAA adjustable suspension package with K springs, Magnaflow 3" Competition cat-back exhaust, CDC rear black out panel, black 5.0 badges, black WeatherTech floor liners, and 05-09 GT500 SVT wheels with 255/45/18, 285/40/18 Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires. Uninstalled on the vehicle right now is a set of matte black SVE Drift wheels from Late Model Restoration, 18x9 +20 front, 18x10 +30 rear, with 949 Racing CNC'd valve stems. Most of what I post will be pictures in chronological order, I apologize if some of them are redundant from my other threads, and I welcome any feedback, ideas, and criticisms.

Thanks for checking her out,
-Nash

Mods that aren't really mods:

If you've experienced a New England winter you know the value of some of these. Not including the Subaru winter wagon I've gotten a covered garage space here in Providence, a CoverKing all weather car cover, and WeatherTech floor liners. I don't plan on driving her through all the snow and salt, but it never hurts to be prepared!

Crappy picture, the iPhone flash really sucks, but the fitment on the WeatherTechs is phenomenal, definitely a good investment.

My garage neighbor's Porsche Boxter S, needless to say, I'm not too worried about catching door dings.

Not the most exciting piece, but nice CNC'd 949 Racing valve stems will give me a little piece of mind for track and strip play. Some of the cheaper rubber ones have been known to be jettisoned during use when the rubber gets hot and malleable enough to pass through the porthole in the rim. 949 also makes some unbelievably light CNC'd aluminum lug nuts, if you're looking to lower your rotating mass.

I painted and clear coat / rubberized the SVE center caps, I really hate chrome. Seems to look pretty good. Saturday morning I get to mount and balance the new rims.

I did the same thing to the center caps on the black rims I had on my Focus ... hated the chrome caps with the black rims ... not sure what the rim manufacturers are thinking, packaging the rims like that ...

Looking great so far man ... would love to get together some day for a shoot ... maybe even more cars? Could make it a group shoot

I like the way you think, dependent on weather and my training schedule I'm free most weekends, PM me if you feel like organizing it, etc.

I don't think I asked before, but how come you went with 18s over the 19s?

A couple of reasons. One, performance wise, when I race its usually only 1/4 mile, so a little extra side wall helps my 60 foot time when I get the psi dialed in. Secondly, aesthetically, I came from the stance / import scene, and while low pro tires are great my opinion is that muscle cars need meat on their bones. I love the raked out look of the FRPP suspension with big tires. If anything else, its also because I don't like having the square setup that you have to run if you buy the SVE 19's (they're all 19x9.5), and even if I did, everyone already runs them. I might not be doing anything groundbreaking, but I don't want to do the exact same thing as someone else.

Showed up to get my rims mounted and balanced at Tasca, so they sent me to get a free breakfast at their own upstairs cafe! I'm going to miss this place when I leave Rhode Island.

Yup. There was someone that had been on me for a while about them, but apparently that was all talk. Asking $550 plus shipping, PM me if you've got an offer, they're in really nice shape.
