Used VMP GEN I supercharger price

A friend of mine locally is selling his VMP GEN I supercharger for $5000. Is this a good price? It looks like the GEN II is $6300 brand new. http://vmptuning.com/superchargers/421140/

What do you guys think?

Good price. VMP tvs > Roush tvs

The one you linked isn't a Gen 2 tvs, just the gen 1 "roush" tvs

Since the tuner is not included you could get the roush, Paxton or vortech brand new with tuner for a couple hundred more.

What makes the VMP version better than the Roush?

VMP has a ported inlet, highflow elbow, snout is machined down to accept smaller pulleys, HUGE heat exchanger with dual fans, and ID injectors that will support much more power along with better idle quality

I would never pay over $3000 for a used blower kit.

Then I guess it's safe to say you're not getting a TVS kit any time soon unless you happen to stumble across a wicked good deal lol

It is a little overpriced as I've seen them usually go for around 4k +/-200 bucks.
