Undecided: tires replacement for Brembo wheels
Now is the time for me to replace the short lived-great handling pirelli's that are part of my Brembo package. I'm planing to keep my regular wheels, but I have two things in consideration: great handling performance and great looks. I really like the Michellin Pilot Super Sport (but does not come in the size that I like 285/35R19), and my second choice is the Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position, that comes in that size. If I go stagered with oem size front (255/40R-19) with 285/35R19 in the back, that is simillar to the BOSS consfiguration, I might need to include a bigger rear antiroll bar (BOSS size) to reduce the understeer created, and this will be an additional cost to my pocket.
Please advice, specially if you have one of these setups.

devildog1679, I think that you made a strong point. Based on the search of tirerack it mentioned that the 285/35 tire can optionally fit the rear brembos, but when I saw that Bridgestone site, it mentions that the minimum size of wheel that can be fited is the 9.5 not the 9 wide. The BOSS has rear 9.5 but not the brembo. I think I will skip that tire size. you are correct on that Sir.

285/35 fit fine on the brembo wheels. Plenty have done it.
I replaced my Pirellis with BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP 2's in 255/40 and absolutely love them. Moreso than the Pirellis even.
Incredible grip, look great, and have great sidewalls like the stock tires do.
Too many other tires such as the hankook v12 have soft sidewalls that flex too much, making the turn in slow and not as precise. Not so with the BFG's.

Very interesting information that I gathered from your good suggestions, I did came to a conclusion at least good for me:
Thanks all for your shared knowledge & experience.!!!
- I guess I will stay away of the Stagered set up, unless I go for a wider rear wheel and bigger swaybar to compensate for the understeer (something to look at: the BOSS set up).
- On my research, the 285 is recommended for 9.5 or wider wheels (like the ones on the BOSS rear setup).
- Michellin Pilot Super Sport is my choice of tire, after looking at Car & Driver recent comparation and tirerack's. It came on top as a very well balanced tire (yes is expensive, but justified the cost).
- I will remain with the oem size (255/40R-19), I think that FORD did a great job, if we can remember, that his car was compared by MT to the BMW M3 on the track and did very well
. My second choice is the 265/40R-19 Suggested as one of the upgrades by discount tire, or the 265/35R-19.
Thanks all for your shared knowledge & experience.!!!

FYI - The most recent Car and Driver did a summer tire test. I've tried looking for it online, but can't find it.
IIRC, the Continental Extreme Contact was a great balance of performance and life.

none:
Hankook V12 EVO. 285/35/19. they rock. i run them myself and the wear is fine.
staggered sizes that are too great WILL cause stabilitrac issues. IE stasbility control activating at high speed and locking a wheel. car felt very unstable chaging lanes at 140+.
i used to have 255 fronts and 275 backs. car would engage stability on mild cornering. made it push dangerously. caused the inside rear wheel to engage ABS on really hard cornering.

I think I will go with the 275/40R-35, Michelin Pilot Super Sport set up on my 9 X 19 set up. That I think they will bring good handling, good looks, better MPG and apparently no issues with my 1st. shift. Probably the "35s'" are too fast (light & low height side walls) for my 3.73 gears.
I wonder if the 275/40 will they fit with my lower stance of 1 inch in front & 1 1/4 in the rears?
