Tunes for 2013's

So now that the 2013's are hitting how long before tunes start becoming available? I see ford has made some calibration changes to timing and such and I didn't know if that will send tuners back to the drawing board or not.

I would and am giving it a few months before I touch a tune I am betting that they will be a little more powerful with the track pack ppl since the upgraded radiator just a guess tho.

I thought Steeda posted that they ordered a few 13's already, so I imagine they will be one of the first.

Of course not lol sry if that came off wrong. with the bigger radiator it's should be running a little cooler so the tuners might try to push it just a bit more. and with the no piston coolers the tunes are going to be a little different for durability and maybe power. But I'm just guessing I don't know to much about everything that affects the tuning parameters.

Well on a street driven car the radiator will make zero difference. On a track car different story. I wouldnt think the tune would be more aggressive for a car with a larger radiator.

I'm not sure how a tuner alters the ecu. I don't know if they add or remove values in a set table of if they just start from square one and build a tune from scratch. That's why I wondered if there would have to be big changes for the tunes in the 13's.

We are hoping to see our units arrive sometime here shortly. We will look at every aspect of the car and see what changes will need to be made to existing Steeda products to make sure they work as intended on the 2013s.

We will also be looking at tunes during that same time. Steeda will not consider this a race to get the first set of tunes on the market. We will do our research, testing, and make sure these tunes will work flawlessly like our tunes for the 2011-2012s. You can rest assure that we will test these tunes on the Steeda units first before we “release and tweak” as we go on consumer’s cars.

Because of our working relationship with Ford Motor Company, we will be prepared for any changes that need to take place in regards to the tuning process.

Best Regards,

TJ
