Question: Is there a difference between buying a USED or a NEW tuner?

I first tuner for my 06 was new from Bama.

For my 12 I bought used. Unfortunately it would not hold a tune nor take the update SCT was pushing. After SCT remoted to my pc and tried fixing it, it had to be shipped to them. 10 business days later it came back, good as new.

So I guess it all depends on the used tuner.

Dino,

Used or New tuners will definitely do the same thing. You just have to make sure the Used device is unmarried. The previous owner has to pull the tune off of his car or it won't be any use to you. If the device is married, You'll have to send it back to SCT to be unlocked which would cost a fee of $150. On top of that to get custom tunes for your car your going to have to buy tunes(most company's charge between $90-250).

We charge a one time fee of $150 which buys you into our free tunes for life program. Anytime you add a new modification or want some revisions made all you gotta do is give us a call and we'll hook you up! If you do decide to buy new I would definitely recommend the Bama SCT custom tuner. This device will deliver huge and safe power gains! Our devices are $379.99 which will include 3 custom tunes, custom tunes for life and any other services you need!

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!
