Transmission acting funny?

Well I have a 2013 with a steeda tune incorporating long tube headers and a CAI. Well, my transmission has really been shifting hard eve at low speeds it really lurches forward. At WOT it slams into second gear. It also downshifts fairly hard at low speeds and it really affects the drivability of the car. I also noticed tonight, when I put it in park, let it settle, and then put it in reverse it slams into reverse and is a solid bang. Doesn't seem like it should be like that, but I'm not expert. Any help would be very appreciated.

Sounds like an agressive shift tune.. performance tune? If so go for a more relaxed tune

I assume you have an auto? Steeda is famous for having an aggressive shifting auto tune but they can soften the shifts up for you.

Yes it is auto. I like how it feels at wot, just easy driving is rough. Don't want to tear anything up

You wont. Harder shifts will help the trans last longer

I have a similar issue with hesitation and then slamming into reverse, but it did it before i got a tune. I've never taken it in to get looked at, so I'm still not sure what's causing it.

It will. Less slipping... longer life. Ask anyone that tunes them. Durability is a commonly asked question for them.

this^^^ the only reason transmissions shift soft is because of winey ppl that dont like the "harsh" feel.

They are quick to say you're wrong but still can't give the right answer themselves.

Just admit it Bone. You're stupid. And all this can be over.

I'm pretty sure you can take the car to a reputable tuner and get a one time tune for the gear swap. Probably the easiest and cheapest way out. Just saying.
Edit:
Oops wrong thread. Maybe they will see it. Lol

Anyway, back to the topic. Tonight when input it in park it made a rattle noise. Not sure if one of the exhaust tubes was vibrating off some thing or what. I need to get up under the car and look

The guys have a point here. The rough shifts are not a side effect of the parts and tune, but are intended to shift faster and get you better 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. Some people like it, some don't. It makes things easier on the clutch, but I'm not sure what effect if any it has on the gears themselves in the long run.
Either way, if you're not a fan, ask for a tune with softer shift firmness.
