Have 14 GT TP. I'm looking to get wider tires than the 255 Pirellis. I would like to keep all 4 same size in order to rotate, but also want to go widest possible. Also, pretty sure want to stay 19, so what is the widest the front can handle 9.5, 10, what about 10.5. 275, 285, 295, is 305 possible?

I haven't bought any wheels yet cause that's my question. Can I put 9.5 on front or 10 or maybe even 10.5? And what is smartest setup to run on all four corners for DD and maybe some track days here and there. Maybe the car can handle 10 and 295 in front but is it a good thing to do.

I run a 19X9.5 all the way around with a 285/35/19's.....like you I wanted to be able to rotate my tires. My car is lowered 1" in the rear and that's it. No problems with rubbing, clearance or anything like that.

Go with the RTR's, they are light weight, and you can run 285's, or preferably 275's. These were mine with 275/35's before I went with 20's. They come polished also.

I'm running 19x10 AM GT500 replica wheels on all four corners. Until yesterday, I had been running my stock 255/40R19 P-Zeros that came with the track package. Yesterday I had a set of 274/40R19 Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2 tires installed at all four corners and while I've only got about 50 miles on them so far, I haven't experienced any rubbing or clearance issues. My car is lowered 1.5".

Im running 19x9.5 wheels and 275/45 tires on all 4 corners + lowered 1" and no rubbing at all!

19x10 with a 305 should be totally possible. Worse case is you will have to run a 5-10mm spacer in front.

I have the Brembo wheels on my car presently. Those are 19x9, and I just had 275/35/19 Michelin Pilot Supersports installed and they fit perfectly. I can get some pictures if you need them.

I'd like some please. I'm torn between 275/35s and 275/40s for my replacement tires. I would actually like to lower the car more, but I feel like I'm done with suspension and like being able to go over speedbumps/driveways still, so I'm thinking I'll just fill up the gap with sidewall instead of going lower.

Get 35's, the smaller sidewall feels better IMO on the road.

Also to OP I think the widest on stock fenders is a 315 for the front.

Now 285/35s or 275/35s? I have 19x9.5 Niches, +35 all around. These are going to be my daily/all season tires. I'm going to have a set of staggered 20s for summer/shows.

I'd do 285's, 10mm isn't a huge difference but I went with 285's since that is what the rear came with.

I drive my car in the rain though, so not sure how those 285s (or even 275s for that matter) will do with hydroplaning. I had 275/40/17s all around on my 03 GT and that was fine I guess...

It's been raining here for the past week straight, and the nitto NT555 (255/35/20) are actually really surprising me. I know it's not a 275, but for a summer tire, the traction is pretty awesome in wet conditions.
So I'd say that you should be ok with a 275 if you get a good tire, especially an Allseason.

I too drive my car daily, and as MDkid said it has been raining daily, no issues with the 285's, I do have Conti DWS though which do great in the rain.

Gotcha. I had a set of those on my 03 too, but staggered 18s, 255/295s. They did very well in the rain for me too. I'm thinking I'll be ponying up for some Michelins next time though. I'm thinking 285/35s now. Won't that be an overall height about the same as a 275/40 though?

Awesome link! I can't believe I haven't seen that before. As I thought, the 285/35 is very similar in height to the stock 255/40. I really want to go lower but our driveway is terrible as is. I don't think I could go lower. Having the 275/40s take up more of the wheel well is almost more worth to me than a stiffer sidewall. Plus the 275/40s are most likely going to be a) less expensive and b) more available than a 285/35. Hmm I'll have to think about it.
