Is there a side exhaust?

Is there a side exhaust like that for the Boss? I know that the Ford Racing M-5220-MB is long gone.

I wanted to have the Boss exhaust and install electric cut off for it. I just haven't seen anything like that out there since the Ford Racing discontinued this.

I have the Boss style exhaust on my ‘14 and love it. I think I may have gotten one of the last of those new. Yup those are long gone... I suggest you try looking into Kooks. They have a side option that is similar in design, not as hidden, but meant to work off a similar connection. Not sure what they are using for an H or X pipe to hook the side pipes to, So I would give them a call. I have see a set of the Boss pipes and H pipe show up on Craigs list a couple of times locally. Might keep an eye on that and other similar sites.

The electric cutout from QuickTime work very well. makes it easy to fully open or close or anything in between. Worthwhile addition if you can find a set of pipes.

Good Luck.

Well, i found a used Boss H pipe with no kinks or cracks for 350. but no side pipes.

I am looking into kooks, but will be pricey in the end ...

I was about $900 to get my Boss pipes. QTP and install was on top of that... Was much less $$$ when they were being produced.

I have an opportunity to get the Boss H - pipe. No kinks or cracks for $250 + shipping (he reduced the price). I'd like to pull the tripper, but buying used exhaust pipes ... Side pipes don't come with it.

Thoughts? Stupid to buy used?

No, not stupid... Used is likely the only thing you will find if you really want this. Look it over for signs of corrosion or excess rust. If the pipe looks solid you are probably fine.

If you really want new you might be able to get it...

And possibly the side pipes too?

But they are not cheap. Looks like somewhere around $1500 for the three items.

Just for reference, I paid $750 for the original kit. I'd pay $1500.

Also don't forget about junkyards and Track Mustangs Online. That's the BOSS community and some people there have done exhaust conversions and might have parts for sale.

I would also take the chance on any used parts I found. Also if you go new, there are several metal gaskets and the like that you may need ... It was 4 years ago so the install is a little hazy.

Me too! I think I paid in the $830 range because they were no where to be found...
