That depends on the combination of mods. 3.15's are not the single right answer.
If you check S197's list of the fastest 5.0's with the 6R80 trans, you'll find that the best gears depend on whether we're talking supercharged or N/A...
Supercharged: the two quickest have 3.31 gears (Beefcake's Vortech car and Cruzing2Much's Whipple car). The 3rd & 4th quickest use 3.15's (Ken B's twin turbo and Adam@ST's Kenne Bell),
Naturally Aspirated: none of the top 4 use 3.15's! They are 3.31, 4.10, 3.73, and 4.10, respectively. All of the slower cars on the list use 3.15's, except one.
I'll be keeping my '14 GT automatic N/A, so I'll be going with 4.10's. If I were going with forced induction, I'd likely keep the 3.15's, especially if I were going with a torque-rich positive displacement blower. If I were going with a centrifugal blower, I'd likely choose more gear (likely 3.31's).

As I continue to investigate which car I'm going to buy and what upgrades I'm planning I've come to the conclusion that a super charger is actually a possibility for a me. I've heard some people say if you know you are going to add a super charger on the new cars to stick with the standard rear end gear and don't upgrade to 3.73's because of MT82 gearing. My original plan was a 2014 with Track Pack but if this is true then I might just stick with the standard car. Then again the Track Pack still has other goodies that make it worth while and I could always "downgrade" my gears.
Any thoughts?
The car will be driven daily during nice weather.

The fastest supercharged 5.0 / MT82 on the list uses 4.30 gears, but 4.10's and 3.73's are very common on the list, as well.
Keep in mind that gears are - by definition - a torque multiplier. So, if you pick a centrifugal blower (that makes less low end torque), go with more gearing. If you choose a positive displacement (that makes gobs of low end torque), then you can get away with less gearing.

Useful tool I used this to spec out my gear ratio for my new tremec magnum xl being installed today! Going with 3:90's in the rear which is the equivalent of 3:31s in an mt-82!
