"Street Stalker" package from LMR

Hey guys,

I just wanted to post up the results of my car that was built and tuned by Late Model Racecraft. I had the street stalker package ( http://latemodelracecraft.com/mustan...etstalker.html ) installed and picked up quite a bit of power. This dynograph is a before and after. The low number is with all of the parts installed but with no tune, and the good number is with a tune. I'm ecstatic with the results!

The numbers they claim are outrageous though. They claim 475 hp with that kit and 550 with headers and boss intake added. It looks like you got good gains, but not the gains the advertise.

415 wheel is pretty darn close to 475hp crank.

That is the horsepower measured at the crank. Take the rwhp # and multiply it by 15% (typical drivetrain loss), then add that result to the rwhp and that will get you the approximate horsepower at the crank.

415 X .15 = 62.25.
415 + 62.25 = 477.25

Anyway, I'm about to get an off road x pipe and a re-tune. I'm hoping for around 430-440rwhp after that but we'll see

Also if any of you are wondering, that was also at a 12:1 air/fuel ratio too as opposed to the standard 13:1 that I've seen most other tuners do

Agreed...that's quite a bit. And it's all parts you can install in your drive way in minutes.
But as long as you are happy man. That's all that matters

This is true, but the price breakdown goes like this:

CAI - 380
Magnaflow Competition Cat Back Exhaust - 865
SCT Handheld - 380
Dyno Tune - 550
Labor - 375 (3 hours at 125 hr.)
And General Shop Supplies - 50 (ie. check/top off all fluids)

No doubt this could be installed at home, but if you want the peace of mind to know everything is done professionally and you will have something to stand by if anything were to go wrong

Your math is wrong.

It would be 15% of the Crank hp to equal the rwhp Not take 15% from the rwhp and that is the crank hp. If you take 15% from 477.25 it does not equal 415.

According to that, he got more hp than he paid for.

This. You take 415 and divide it by .85 which is 488.24

Actually your math is wrong too....

Think of it this way:

If he is losing 15%...then he only has 85% at the wheels.

.85 * crank HP = rear wheel HP

or

rear wheel HP / .85 = crank HP

in his case

415 / .85 = 488 crank HP

These are all approximate figures anyways guys... the only thing solid is 415rwhp out of only a CAI, Cat back exhaust and a tune. I haven't seen any other cars out there with these mods make this kind of power. Again, every dyno is different, but either way 373 to 414 is a very nice increase.

Your math is the same as quoted, you just did it the opposite way lol

Actually its 414.24 / .87 = 476.13793103448275862068965517241. Approximately. Maybe.

Definitely.

No price break for buying all that together? Still too expensive.

Sorry bud but you got raped! A custom dyno tune(which should only be around 400 or less for those minor changes) wasn't even necessary. Any canned tune nowadays would be perfect for a catback and cai. Could of gotten those parts from AM with the forum discount for $1496.45. That would've included a tuner with 3 custom tunes for life. Easiest parts to install too. That was $1100 wasted IMHO! Not trying to be a jerk, just thought you should know.

What is our discount btw?
