I've heard it. It sounds like the stock exhaust only louder. It has a higher pitch than say the GT500 or the other axle backs on the market. I've also heard an X pipe with resonator delete and the stock mufflers and it has the same stock higher pitch but is even louder and a bit raspy. I didn't care for it personally but to each their own.

+2! Easy, cheap, sounds great (IMO), OEM, and no drone. You can get Ford Racing GT500 SVTPP (bolt-on) mufflers for around $300, and also get the stock resonators cut out and replaced with 3" pipe for around $100 (or less). See if you like these two videos. I hope this helps you!

Sounds even better in person or when driving!! Zero drone and quiet as stock cruising on the highway in 6th.

To reiterate his question again... without changing the stock 5.0 mufflers, how will the non resonator exhaust sound compared to with resonators? Soon, I'd get the GT500 mufflers... but until then, is it obnoxious by just removing them? Any more opinions?

You will hardly hear a difference by removing the resonators and keeping the stock mufflers. Why not just spend some money on an axleback?

I went with gt500's from AM - for $300 you can't beat it, and the sound is much better than stock.

Chris - remove your resonators next, you'll thank me later. Sounds even better. Enjoy your new exhaust on your new car!

X10. Gt500s without resonators is mandatory. Neck & Neck with Borla S type which is my favorite 5.0 exhaust but GT500s -resonators is a fraction of the cost.
