Stock exhaust, then X pipe, then GT500 mufflers -VID-

finally i got a collection of all 3 videos done and can compare them all. X pipe didnt make much difference over stock sound, but it took away the rumble that the stock H pipe had, however the X pipe did make the exhaust feel like it was flowing easier.

after the GT500 mufflers the sound changed and its a much better sound over stock, but not crazy loud. it also felt like the mufflers are less restrictive and the throttle seemed to be a little more responsive.

here are the 2 comparing videos, enjoy

Stock exhaust, Stock H pipe

Nice Vids...how hard was it to install the x-pipe? Did it increase any drone in the car?

Takes all of 30 minutes with some basic tools, 4 bolts, 2 O2 sensors and a slid clap on the back end. Could be done even faster with 2 people and a lift.

No drone on mine.

there was no sensors on the stock H pipe, just bolt clamps to remove. i have a tilt trailer so i drove the back up on the trailer and jacked up the front, but yet a lift or at least front tire ramps would be easier.

no drone inside, rumble smoothened out as the air flows easier than with a stock H pipe.

sounds amazing with the xpipe. Are you running a tune at all? I was going to get the x pipe next but read that you had to have a tune.

Those GT500 mufflers sound good. I may end up switching to those to make mine quieter.

Which X pipe is it? The clamp on behind OEM converters, or their off road set up?

I'll check other threads, but did you install the GT500 rear valence to accompany the quad tips?

EDIT: FOUND THE THREAD, ignore my last question.
