I'd say buy a programmer with a custom tune or 2 installed on it.

JLT Cold Air Intake and custom tune. I'd go with either AED, BBR or Jon Lund.

Intake and tune are the most common and probably easiest to do.

Agreed, JLT cold air intake and Tuner. Americanmuscle.com is a good source. They've been making me poorer for a while now.

I'd be all over that if it was for a manual.

Any real gains without a tune? Not trying to be a smart @ss. Just curious because my neighbor, (hot blonde college girl, always wears really tight shorts, not that it matters) asked me a few months ago what I thought of the CAI.

I'd like to suggest you do one small, relatively inexpensive bolt-on before increasing hp: BOSS oil cooler. ~$140 shipped from most major Mustang parts places and you can treat it as a peace of mind mod. More HP means more heat and your new mods will also mean more time spent under load

You can use this intake on a manual car,you just need to block off one of the vacuum ports. It will require a tune. I will not tell you it will boost your performance as I saw no improvement at the track. If you have an sct tuner it should have a preloaded tune for the steeda intake or you can get a tune from steeda gus. They are very helpful at steeda.

The steeda intake will work with both auto and manual. It includes a plug to block off a whole used for auto's.

The intake doesn't care if its a manual or automatic. Its just a tube with a filter. When ordering a tune, your transmission type will come into play, but not for the brand of CAI.

CAI and a tune are hands down the best gain for the dollar on a more affordable scale.

swilliamson13,

The power package, including the Boss Manifold is awesome! We have the same one on our 2011 GT and love it. I'm sure it's going to give you just the boost in hp you're looking for. And if not, get some aftermarket exhaust and you'll really be surprised what the Boss Manifold will do for you!

Let me know if you have any questions about any of our AM products!

Looks good Williamson! Was that intake made for the boss manifold? Looks a little odd on there
