Anyone have issues with the rubber boot sliding up out of the groove after several shifts? Mine seems to be sliding up frequently.

No, have not heard of this before. Brought it up to Scott and Chad in manufacturing and they are scratching their heads. Give us a call so we can discuss this further.

I have time tomorrow to take the trim panel out and will see what I can find from there. I made sure to orient it correctly, but don't know if I overlooked something else. I'll be in touch tomorrow for sure.

I have had a steeda short throw in my car for 4 years now. It started out great, but now is much sloppier than even the stocker. the shifter will flop back and forth a good 2 to 3 inches. is there a way to freshen these shifters up?

I will say this; the shifter seems to be getting better. Having driven 300 miles since install, it's started to loosen up enough and really feel good in the hand.

If you're someone who does a lot of city driving, you can really appreciate the changes the shifter makes.

First make sure the bolt at the bottom of the pivot that holds the linkage bar to the shifter is still tight. Also make sure the front and rear bushings are still good.

If that is ok, You could have had an internal spring fail. That is about the only thing that can go wrong with the shifter internally.

If you can get it to us we can rebuilt it at no charge under warranty. We normally can turn it back around within a day or 2 of receiving it.

If you want to do that PM me so I can give you all the right info to send it in.

I think there may be a concern over a broken bolt under the car that may be contributing, you know the two bots that hold the shifter to the floor.

Has anyone measured the distance from 3-4, and left/right, to compare the difference.

This is exactly the kind of information I was looking for. I am the recent owner of a 2011 GT, she's my first Mustang and I must say I am thoroughly impressed. I used to laugh at Mustangs...I'm the one laughing now.

Thanks for the awesome review on the sts. Next mod...well after the panhard bar and brace and trailing arms...steeda short throw.

I actually liked the vibration in the older cars. I guess I'm old school like that. Feels more like you're controlling a bucking beast than a machine!

Well, Gus, you know I'm having this mod on my shopping/wishlist! I'll be down your way most likely in January to get the Tri-Ax installed.

And in regards to the Steeda Customer Service: There is just simply no comparison... A++++ all the way! (just wish more companies would be run like Steeda - products are awesome and so is the customer service/support!)

Thanks Gus and Steeda crew for always making us add more stuff to our shopping basket! (And it's sooo much fun!) :-)
