I'm sure the sounds of 4 Mustangs at full tilt going thru the underpass scared some of the people that we passed. Did you notice that by the 2nd tunnel, people were moving out of the way.
I also have no idea what your on about

So....how hard is it to install? Any basic How-to? What has to be taken off/removed/moved on the car? Would like to know what work is involved over and above paying for the part...

We took pictures along the way while installing it. Shaun should have a How-To done up soon. It was very easy.

So how does the shifter actually make a shorter throw? I'm kinda confused about how it all works.

I'm glad you brought this up as its a great point. I feel that shifting with your wrist would feel unnatural.

Thanks for the review

Because we revise the piviot ratio.

Bascially we make the throw longer at the bottom so the throw above is shorter. You raise the piviot point. There is alot of engineering in between, but I think you get the idea.

Excited I have one on the way as well.

Raced my good friend in his CTS-V, fudged the 2-3 shift, he almost beat me! I went home and ordered that night!

Got around to installing mine tonight. Install was easier than expected, with the exception of a few minor things.

As for how it performs, I'm extremely happy I went with this. I found that swapping reverse springs for the softer one is a piece of cake, and that the overall feel of the shifter was what I was looking for. You really can't seem to miss 3rd gear with this shifter. The throws are quick and precise, but aren't too notchy. Slop is noticeably reduced, and the shifter looks stock otherwise.

Definitely give this two thumbs up. Anyone on the fence should pull their CC's out now and put an order in.

Steeda, one little gripe: please label your figures in the install instructions.

I'll pass the instruction suggestion to Scott in manufacturing.

So what exactly does this do for our cars? Like, how does it make you not miss a shift?

It reduces the throw between gears, and reduces "slop" (play) in the shifter itself. You can find each gear with more confidence compared to the stock shifter.
