Going to get my resonators deleted tomorrow. He said he'll do it for 100 cash and should only take about 30 - 40 minutes to do. He's welding in 3" stainless steel in the resonators place. Does everything sound kosher? Can't wait to hear how it sounds with the borla's without resonators

Borla Mufflers are frickin' amazing. I am in love with mine.

 

+1 they sound just like I was hoping deep rumble and scream above 4k rpms. I hope I hear a difference now that the resonators r getting cut out. Big difference from your gt500 mufflers? You happy you made the switch?

at idle it'll maybe be a decibel more of noise, but when you get on the loud pedal, what's when the difference is apparent. (removing the resonators)

from the GT500 to the Borla S-Type.

If stock were a "1" the GT500 would be a "3" resonator removal on the GT500's made it a "4" Borla made it a "6". in the world of loudness 1 to 10. Trust me exhaust can still be much louder from Borla, but I'll just say for a convertible -- Borla S-Types are aggressive.

 

okay finally got the video uploaded to youtube. I tried to email the video to myself from my phone to post on here but it was to large yet its only a minute video and it took 30 mins to upload to youtube Anyways this is BEFORE the resonators, dont mind my mom in the background lmao. I was busy today and ran out of daylight to film it after the res detele. Anyways, after getting the resonators deleted i noticed quite a difference. A tad bit louder at idle but once you get on it it certainly is noticeable louder, i love it. Maybe a tadddd bit of rasp when you rev but nothing crazy. I couldnt imagine this with an offroad pipe it would be crazy loud. Eventually i will go catless but for now, ill enjoy it as it for sure.
