Quick question (steeda cai)
I saw recently Steeda increased there maf size on there cai's from 95mm to 101mm if i remember correctly. I purchased my cai about 2 years ago, is it safe to say I have a 95mm. How can I be sure?
Looking to get a retune done gonna need the info.

I got my steeda cai about 2 months ago. I have the new one with the black powdercoated heat shield. If you have this one you should have the 101mm MAF housing. I copied this from the Steeda website.....
The 2011 & Up 5.0L Mustang’s intake system from Ford is an excellent piece, one of the best ever to come out of Dearborn. But as usual, the engineers at Steeda were up to the challenge of making it even better for the performance customer that demands more power. Our engineers started with a large surface area high-flow nano-fiber air filter, added our famous “race-tested” velocity stack entry and then designed a black powdercoated heat shield with a durable rubber gasket to seal the shield against the vehicle’s hood. Next we increased the MAF housing size to 101mm and coupled it to a new higher flowing Pro-Flow inlet hose with our Cool-Tube Technology.

Oh quick tip for those, that do a recharge on their filter. I found some spots of rust on my heat shield....(im guessing the reason they changed it to black.)
A quick gentle pass of a lightly wet sos pad took it right off.

All:
We used to have a 95mm intake for the 5.0 and then we developed the 101mm intake for the Boss 302. As an internal cost saver, we tested the 101mm intake on the 5.0 and did not find a power loss. We discontinued the 95mm intake for efficiency's sake.
Hope this clears things up.
Best Regards,
TJ

Nothing even comes close to the looks and quality that Steeda puts out..... If I can make a suggestion TJ, The black steeda sticker that comes with the CAI kind of blends in with the black power coated heat shield. Maybe change the color to blue or silver so that it will stand out on the black for the ones who want to apply it to the heat shield.

The tunes are different ... if you were running the 95 mm tune with the 101 mm intake then your car would not be running right.
There is no performance gain by running the 95 mm vs. the 101 mm.
Trebor,
Thank you for the feedback ... I have sent your feedback to upper management and they are going to change the color of the Steeda sticker.
They originally thought that consumers would relocate the sticker to the rear quarter panel since the intake was black ... but thank you for letting us know that is not the case!
