Question about aftermarket mounting bushings for MT82 shifter

Only if it's responsible for whatever failure occurred. If the radiator fan goes, yeah it's not going to void that. If something connected directly to the shifter fails you might have a harder time getting that covered (any internal gearbox failures would also still be easy to get covered).

It doesn't void the warranty but, you can expect a lot of questions and delays if you show up with Trans problems and have an aftermarket shifter installed.

I got grief for having a different shift **** on the car when I came in with my spontaneously-combusted MT82 at 3000 miles. Ultimately, they fixed the box but, that added to the delay.

I love the Steeda bracket, modern billet **** and whiteline insert with drilled centre. No major nvh and as solid as the stocker is going to get.

I have an MGW and love it, it's one of the best mods I have done to the car, and I've done quite a bit so far. It's much better than the stock unit by far and makes the driving experience much more enjoyable, and less embarrassing when you don't miss a shift in front of a bunch of on lookers!

I'm going to do the whiteline also. What did you use to drill out the center and how much did you take out?

I may be wrong, but I think there is an adjustment to fix that.
