Pinning The Crank?

Okay, I have to ask, although, I am pretty sure the answer is no.
Does anyone here with a supercharger on their Mustang, have their crankshaft pinned?
The reason I ask is because the guys/gals on the Hellcat forum are all talking/all about about pinning the cranks and I'm like,..........what?!?! Why? Can't get a straight answer.
So, anyone here have a supercharged Mustang with a pinned crank?
Thanks.

I could swear I've seen it over on S197 forum. They were pulling some pretty heavy boost if IIRC though.

I believe ours are keyed and that keeps the pulley from spinning under boost. Some motors like my LS just have use a pressed on pulley so it has the chance to spin on the crank during boost. Drilling through the pulley into the snout and pinning it prevents it from moving.

I'm only running 7.5 PSI of boost and have not even considered pinning the crank. 9300 boosted miles out of 46000 total and loving it.

Thanks guys!
I didn't think that our cranks needed to be pinned. A lot of the guys on the mustang6g forum are pumping out stupid crazy horsepower/torque and they have zero issues with this as well.

Yep and, anyone who thinks a little steel roll pin is going to be the difference between the pulley spinning and not in a situation that creates that is sadly mistaken. Keyway-style lock is the only thing that has a chance.

This is cog-pulley thinking. The belt's gonna slip and smoke long before it spins the crank pulley, most of the time.
