Pics of cars on Steeda Sport Springs (at least the verison I use)
I've had a lot of inquiries lately from folks wanting to get an idea what these spring really look like installed on various S197's. I've now got 3 different customer supplied (thank you guys) photo's on my website so you can take a look:

If you click on any of the small photos, they will blow up for you to get a better look. Notice you'll find a 2011 in White, a Red (I believe '07) on GT500 wheels, and a Bullitt on stock wheels. I tried to give a wide variety of colors for you to choose from. And there are very few pics of '11's on these springs.
The one you guys want to see is this one (being a 5.0 forum): Thank you Harlan for taking the picture and sending it my way. FWIW, he furnished me with another if you guys want a rear 3/4 shot from slightly above.

I seen people use the Sports more than the Ultra-Lite, any reason for that? Are the Ultra-Lite not that good?
I planning going with the Ultra-Lites because (correct me if I'm wrong) it lowers the car a little more than the Sport.

The drop is very similar. I prefer Sports because they are lighter weight (again, there are two versions, only one is) and a touch softer (better riding) but about 1/4" taller (which is hardly noticeable).
In fact in another 2011+ section someone posted pics of his 2011 on Ultra-lites and it looks pretty much the same to me considering that the car I posted is white and that guys is Sterling Gray--and that does make a difference. Darker cars always look a little lower.
My preference is Sports, it's what I stock way more of. But if you decide Ultra-lites I can ship those as well.

Wao, you will think Ultra-Lites will be lighter and softer compared to something called Sport What was Steeda thinking when they name their springs.
I'm definitely want my car to feel like a performance/sport car so wouldn't mind the little stiffness of the Ultra-Lite BUT since I don't have my car yet it could be one of those "be careful what you ask for." Can't way to get my car so could decide what I want.

You are aware that Steeda is now selling a set of springs that is even lower than the current Sport Springs correct?

In this case, the Sports should do you fine. I see your point on the Ultralites. I don't know much about it so I am not the go to guy on them. Should be lighter and give the same drop height, possibly a tad lower. I'd just go with the Sports for reliability. Not saying the Ultra's a bad part, just maybe not as necessary as it may seem.

I had Steeda Sport Springs on my 2003 and the ride quality never seemed to really suffer from stock, so it's good to hear that I can get them again for my 11.
Anyone out there have any scraping issues yet with the sports?

Is that really only a 1" drop in front?
In the two pics provided on this thread, both GT's with the Steeda Sport springs look like they are more than a 1" drop in front (more like 1.25-1.5) and look a wee bit too low to me, as the front wheels look a bit swallowed up by the wheel wells.
I've seen pics of the FRPP springs that drop 1" and it doesn't seem that low.

Could the front end look a little lower because the 2011 has a heavier front end than the 2010 so it's causing the springs to compress .2" or .3" more? Sorry if a stupid question.

See the original photo I posted. Notice that black car is not a stock engine, but has a Kenne Bell blower on it. And the amount of negative camber always makes the drop look like more since the tires are more "tucked" too.

Ok, remember that *ALL* drops are estimates, because you can't even get two stock cars that are always exactly the same height, and if they don't start the same the "amount of drop" will vary.
Those cars are far, far from slammed. I haven't seen any pics of the 1" lowering springs, but in another thread dealing with the Steeda Sports a customer of my measured and on his car go a .9" drop (I think it was actually .88") in front and 1.3" in the rear.
I'm must supplying photos and some real-world, been there done that knowledge about various parts. The Eibach, er... I mean FR3 springs were usually too low for many which is what prompted the taller version. It's a lot cooler to claim a 1" drop than a .8" drop--just sayin'.

Maybe they are only .8-.9 and the Steeda is more like 1.1 or more, IDK.
But I prefer and will get the FRPP 1" drop springs.
That is if I don't scrape on my driveway entrance with it (my driveway entrance is moderately inclined, so based on my clearance stock I will determine if I can get the 1" FRPP drop without scraping).
Plus I like the idea of the warranty and no hassles of using FRPP from dealers.

Had mine-sports- installed at Steeda. I like them a lot! Gus seemed to lean towards the sports. You could just call and discuss it with him.
