Performance Mods/Engine Break-in
Just ordered a CIA, no chip yet, have about 650 miles. Is there a break-in period that should be followed before adding any performance additions?

After 500-1000 miles change the oil and you should be totally fine to run it hard.(what I did) Some say 1000-1500 before running the engine hard. Hell, some swear by a "Hard" break in...drive it like you stole it for 500, then change the oil.
Either way a ECU tune/Chip wont break the car...assuming you don't get too aggressive right off the bat.

I always put around 4-500 fairly easy miles on a new car just to break in the trans, brakes, etc. The rings seat in like 25 miles of driving so i am never worried about the engine. At 1k miles i change the oil, then its driving the way i want to after that!!

Awesome, put about 500 highway cruising miles on first but have gotten on it a little but now. I might wait till 1k, change the oil, and then add my mods. Thanks!
