Paxton Dyno Results/Video

I was finally able to get on the dyno!! Temperature was 100 degrees F. and humidity was very high. No surprise for Louisiana weather. I put down 550whp and 445tq.

Thanks for posting....Looks really nice. Really nice numbers when you consider the ambient air and humidity conditions.

Have you had a chance to drive it on the road yet? If so...what are your impressions? Specifically is power modulation linear or more "On" "Off" type of deal?

Very nice, great numbers especially considering the weather!

Yes it is my daily. The power comes on very smooth and is linear. It really rips up top and 1st and 2nd are useless. Drive-ability is great.

I don't have full graph, but did take a pic of the numbers and its failing to upload. I'm waiting for the shop to email the graph to me.

Also, how'd you get your pics to upload via the phone app? Mine's still failing.

I uploaded on my computer from photobucket. I has to make the pic alot smaller for some reason. Hopefully the shop emails me the full graph soon.

thanks for posting! It looks like, from a centri standpoint, torque hits around 4500 rpm, whereas on a roots, it hits in the 3000 rpm range and holds.

Very interesting indeed. Given that both are superchargers, it's neat to note that blower shapes (and function) have such a profound effect on torque delivery.

I love the power curve from this setup. Gives the car a better chance to hook before it hits.

Can anyone explain why SCs in general don't do much for torque numbers?

While i understand that in more temperate conditions, this car will be putting more power to the wheels, somehow, I'd hope for more than a 60-70 lbft bump from a $6000 investment.

Someone please tell me why I'm off-base.

As far as the temperature and humidity conditions. They probably couldn't get any worse than they were. I'm expecting to touch 600whp when the cool weather arrives. Don't know what torque will jump to but we will find out that is for sure.

Because they are set up to be able to spin steadily higher up to redline with the motor being able to handle the boost. If you put a tiny pulley on it and a wastegate to cap the peak boost you could make as much torque as you wanted. Make 8 lbs of boost at idle and set the wastegate to 10 or 11. I am in no way suggesting anyone should make 8 lbs of boost at idle with a centri so please don't bother correcting me. But when you can make over 400 ft lbs at over 5500 rpms it makes the hp numbers pretty strong.
