Opinions 3.73 rear on a convertible

Any thoughts on why the 3.73 rear option was eliminated on convertibles ?

Would you consider doing the 3.73 rear on it ?

i think the rear end gear choice is more about driving feel for most ppl than about timeslips. test drive a coupe with a 3.73 and if you like that feel and want to spend the $$ do it.

My concern was if it had anything to do w/ body torque and twist on a convertible.

id say no, all convertables are reinforced to prevent this, thus why they can be sold, theres akit more metal ona vert than a coup

I am wanting to put 3.73s in my Vert. Verts are heavier due to the extra reinforcement, so are not the first choice for performance. Ford thinks of them as more of a stylish cruising car, so no gear options.
