So how does that all affect underhood temps? I had a club member in Florida do something similar to a 2004 GT and he had overheating issues on long trips. Our club went all over Florida, so you had to be able do an 8hr drive to the shows. Florida heat was murder on that car.

 

We have been doing engine compartments like this for 15 years now, without any problems. I have not heard of any overheating or high temp issues yet. With a lot of the parts being perforated, they allow for air flow and some of the other parts seem to act as a heatsink, drawing heat out of the part it is attached to.

We did a 2012 580 Supercharged ZL1 Camaro from Texas this summer and the guy drove it hear and drove it home all the way back to Texas, through the deep south, in the heat of summer and said he had no problems with anything.

Do any/all of these parts fit a '13? Im very interested in the parts that surround the ec but am guessing the different grille/hood shape makes a difference, at least on the nose stuff. And if not, is there an ETA on 13-14 stuff?

 

Yes, some of the parts are the same...some are not. We just installed some of the parts on a 2013 and we will be developing some new parts specific to the 2013 after the first of the year and will release them when available.
