Is it just me or would that be a PITA to clean/polish? I envision the polish getting lodged in every one of those little holes.
Maybe you would just skip over the mesh part?

Ha, it's funny you ask! Just before these pics were taken, this was wiped down with our ACC Meta Glaze Polished Stainless Dressing and it is not visible once wiped. This is what we recommend for easy clean up.

Check it out here - http://americancarcraft.com/i-760554...-dressing.html

You couldn't drive that car, every time you started it and ran it for a few minutes you'd have to clean it all over again.

I agree, but I go to alot of car shows and it would bring alot of attention to my car!! I will look into getting a few pieces, the whole set-up will be a small fortune I bet.

Yeah I bet that is a small fortune in there. If I ever do underhood stuff I would want to paint stuff in body color with maybe an accent color and maybe some aluminum things to add some pop. But I have more pressing mods to do first

I can't drive down the road and people go "oh wow look at his engine bay!" But LTs, catless x-pipe and such will turn heads

ACC, how much is the under hood panel I can see in the pic with MUSTANG on it. That looks sharp from what I can see, do you have a pic of that??

OK I have to admit, that looks BADASS!! My initial judgement was wrong. What I am curious about is the weight of all of that combined.

WHat they ahve on their site right now, I looked at shipping and it adds up to 39lbs, not counting radiator cover, under hood panel and some other things I can see in the pic. I bet it adds 60-70lbs

Really? That looks like pretty thin metal to me and there are lots of little holes. Also shipping weight includes boxes, box filling, plastic, etc.

I hope ACC can respond.

Not sure what the weight is. We do not have a total for the entire kit.

That really is not an issue for a show car, that will never see the track.

If I had to guess, I would say each of the small pieces is about 1 lb. Some of the larger pieces might be 6-8 lbs.

How much weight you add to the car would depend on how many pieces you install.

The weight issue is as old as forums them selves. Let me put this into a little perspective for anyone concerned about weight.

1. Most people will never track their car.

2. If you track your car, you are probably not installing these kinds of accessories.

3. If you weigh 150 lbs. and the guy in the car next to you weighs 250 lbs. There is already a 100 lb. difference in rolling weight of the two cars.

4. If a Mustang has a 16 gallon gas tank, you are carrying around approx. 96 lbs. of fuel with a full tank compared to someone who might have a drag race prepared car with a 5 gallon fuel cell, at only 30 lbs. Thats about a 60 lb difference before you put in that 250 lb. driver.

In conclusion, these are not performance parts, they are show car parts and if you want to win at a car show, we have what you need!

Thanks again for your interest and please let us know if you have any questions.
