My 2013 GT Crazy Canadian Build thread
Well i have decided to begin my own build thread after inspiration from other members. I'll keep it going as the mods progress.
I ordered her last summer, a '13 DIB GT Premium. No Brembos or track pack. She arrived this February.
I originally just wanted a convertible sportscar and determined that the 5.0 had finally morphed into the look i really desired, and within my price range. Hell she was alot cheaper than my fx4 supercrew eco even.
Here's a list of plans:
1. new wheels. I have ford racing shelby style rims on her now.
2. new tires. I ordered Nitto Invo's. so far i love em. quiet, grippy and impressive looking.
3. Cobra style grill. she's coming today. UPS tracking indicates it's 'out for delivery'
4. White racing stripes: professionally done. coming next week.
5. Wind deflector
6. light/style bar
7. suspension upgrade. probably Eibach
8. CAI, Tune

I forgot I had created this thread...so here's the updates...
cosmeticially, the stripes are on, by a pro auto graphics shop, and the new cdc performance grille is installed. I am happy with both.
Our crappy weather of late has not permitted me any good opportunities for some good pics. Maybe this weekend.
Next cosmetic mods might be caliper covers and a light bar.

thank you. I wanted a shelby JUST like this, DIB, convertible with stripes but it was way out of my price range so i started with a base and have the colors and look i want. I'm after a look that you DON'T see at the Avis or Budget rent-a-car sections at airports lol. I fly alot for work and i see 5.0's lined up for rent. Makes me sad actually. I do not like chrome AT ALL, so the chrome accent and the pony had to go. A buddy of mine in sheet metal might make a custom GT emblem for the cdc grill. I'll probably powder coat it black or grey and place it where the snake would go.

sadly no. my quarterly bonus shrank, thanks to TAXES, so there's nothing left over for any mods at the moment. Lightbar and windscreen are still planned, because they really help with noise and wind fatigue. I drive up the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fraser_Canyon to see mom and pops every summer and fall (5 hours total, intense heat).
