This largely depends on the type of nitrous kit and jetting used. For a NX system, the calculation is .8lbs for every 100hp per 10sec. So if you are spraying 100hp you should be able to get 6-8 good 10 sec. runs out of a bottle.

If you have a 10 LB bottle you'll get 120 seconds of nitrous at 100 HP. If you run it at 75 HP, you'd get about 3 minutes.

It's usually suggested you don't run the nitrous for longer than 15 seconds (usually one run down the 1/4) as this can melt the solenoid magnets.
So 15 second bursts. 10 runs maybe?

Hope this helps!

X2 to ZEX ;-)

I have had good luck with their kits in the past.

I am not certain if folks use wet or dry kits on these new 5.0's

I know on the old 5.0 (my era) we used dry kits as the fuel would puddle up in the intake manifolds. I am not certain if that is the case with these new 5.0's

The NOS dry kits are what we all ran in the early 2000's in our 4.6 & LS1 cars . Great systems and relatively easy to install. Back then the Zex kits had a lot of issues . I guess they're corrected now. If I ran nitrous again, I'd go back with NOS though. Nitrous isn't as common as it was. Everyone had nitrous in the early 2000's . It's not remotely as popular now.

Which ever kit you go with remember nitrous is for the track not the street its against the law to have a active nitrous kit in your car on the street.. And they will really come down on you if you get caught....

I always ran nitrous express kits!
I also recommend a wet kit they make more power safer!

That is an incorrect blanket statement. It is perfectly legal in South Carolina. As for other states, some are the same as South Carolina.

Didn't Ford sell a Saleen N2O Focus in the early 2000's straight off the dealer lots?
