Nick, what are your thoughts on MGW Itself? Pros? Cons? Worth it? Spread the good news to the other forum shifter virgins

Definitely worth the money I believe compared to the others. It replaces everything for the factory shifter. Only con is lack of instructions, but the video I posted made it simple. If you have smaller hands and arms installation should be fairly simple. I did it on jack stands in a garage with hand tools. I recommend watching the video before hand and then referring to it as you go along. For the dust boot I worked it from the inside inside of the boot with my fingers. I did not pull it down in the shifter base when they did. I did not follow their way and it allowed me to seat it in all the grooves easily. I used the track bushing on the rear mount. There is no vibration, no noise coming up through the shifter. It takes a couple drives to get used to the shifter compared to the factory one. I don't have to roll the car to get it into first all the way like would happen with the factory shifter. But the throws are shorter and it takes some reprogramming your senses to realize its in gear. Shifts are rifle bolt precise, and the trans did not feel as notchy when cold this am when I drove and it was 34 outside. I love the power and suspension upgrades I've done. But for day to day driving I think I'm gonna like this mod the most

Tony, if anything, that's the best time to install the mod. There's no pressure of being done at a certain time. Right?

I didn't mind the stock shifter...and didn't have any real issues. That's why I waited 18 months and over 30,000 miles. But after the other mods, I felt the shifter was limiting my driving experience. I've always had Pro 5.0 shifters in my foxes and SN95's and loved the solid structure they offered. And after checking all the options felt the MGW was the best comparable shifter for the MT82 cars
