Lund tune from LMR

I currently am using the Bama tune and am quite satisfied with it. Will I see any improvement if I switched to a Lund tune? I read that they also offer the ghost tune for the 5.0. Anything I need to know about a ghost tune?

I am almost certain that a Lund tune is greater than a Bama tune. (No offense to Bama, of course.) I'm sure you'll be more than happy.
Good luck!

Lund knows his stuff. I have never heard anything bad about them. I have never had a Lund tune but can say I am more than impressed with my VMP tune.

Lund
AED
VMP

are all reputable

The ghost tune just makes it sound like a cammed engine.

I know it will cause havoc with catalytic converters.

You do? Then why does Ford offer the lopey idle with the Track Key?

So, if I get this Lund tune, do I just load this into my Bama x4 tuner and install it from there?

Lund tune is the way to go. You will not be disappointed and yes you should be able to put the tune right to the X4.

Lund has great tunes. I have a friend who has CAI, long tube headers, and hollowed-out cats who was running BAMA prior to the LTs. Their tune for the LTs was causing him to run lean in colder temps. He went to Lund and has been very happy with the change.

From reputation, Lund has great tunes. Just hard to get a hold of them. I tried before, but always busy. If you're comparing it to that B word company (I can't even say it), it's not even worth wasting a breath of comparison.

For fyi purposes, I am running a JDM tune and very happy with them. But as stated, Lund, AED, VMP, all great.

Does B stand for Brenspeed? I just received my tune from them and it isn't right. I am still waiting after a few days for them to reply.

Ford's Track Key lopey idle has to meet CAFE regulations and in doing so they can't alter the timing on the idle very much. What the ghost cam tune does is it messes with the cam timing on the motor while they also richen your A/F ratio at the same time so they tend to dump unburned fuel out of your exhaust and into your cats which is why these tunes kill cats. The Ford Racing tune is very mild while the Lund version is much more radical.

You can hear how different they are when it comes to how hard they "chop". That is all in the difference with the Cam timing and I don't believe that the Ford Racing tune messes with the A/F ratio.

I'm pretty sure that means Bama. Brenspeed is good at what they know how to tune, but their wait I have heard is a bit long. Lund has gotten a lot better in terms of response times, although I believe they are still backed up from the time off that they took during Christmas.

I know what they do and the difference between the Ford Racing tune and the aftermarket tunes. For the record, I'm AED tuned and have the lope tune as an option too - I have high flow cats, and use the tune sparingly.

My point was, Ford Racing offers a similar tune on stock cars - people shouldn't make blanket statements like that unless they have first hand experience, and even then, nothing is absolute.

If someone does not have cats anyway I'm gonna assume no harm to the motor from the Ghost Cam tune. The chop in the ghost cam tunes sound amazing and have big chop. Since the 2011 plus the Coyote and Cyclone engine have TIVCT so installing larger cams won't give you the chop, big lope.
