Just ordered oil separator for 2013 5.0 driver and passenger side.

Just ordered oil separator for 2013 5.0 driver and passenger side.
don't have the 2013 yet, but its on order, and after doing some research on the oil separator i decided to order both kit sides from JLT in black. $238 total, was thinking about doing just one side as most people do, but decided to do both and do some testing and see how much oil is collected during normal driving.
im estimating about 1,000 miles a month, i will most likely not drain it till my first oil change, ill be driving the car normal street/freeway. Very interested to see how much passenger side will get and if anything will be collected on the driver side.
When ill be going for my service ill pop on the stock hoses to avoid any pointless drama with the service department, even tho it shoulnt even be a problem.

Sorry for the delay, but as the others said they just "hang" there. The lines are plenty to support them and they stand up straight.
They are JLT separators. It is etched into the top but it is hardly noticeable.

I use one of your catch cans with my Kenne Bell blower on a 4.6 motor.
The can catches oil and I regularly empty it out.
However, recently I noticed that some oil is getting into the intake through the hose from the can.
The can has been on less than a year. I don't know if it has always passed a little oil or not, but I think it has.
The can is mounted next to the shock tower (driver side), sits above the valve cover, and below the intake port where it feeds back into the engine.
Is this normal, to allow a little oil to get through, or do the 'filter fibers' need to be cleaned or something?
I also do not recall seeing a specific inlet/outlet orientation on the ports. If there is a specific orientation, could be it mounted backwards?

.Oil Separators don't "stop" oil 100%, oil vapors can still get through. They are designed to do the best they can and stop most of the oil and grab the large oil droplets.
The fact that you have to empty it, tells me it's working as designed.
Keep in mind, every car is different in the amount of blow by and amount of oil. They will help reduce the amount of oil, but can't stop if there is excessive oil.
As far as direction, it will work either way.

Installed mine a while back but the roads have been mostly salty lately so I haven't driven the car much...but after one nice day and my 100 mile round trip commute, there was only a fine film of oil in the cannister.

I've had mine on for 2 days now and have driven about 35 miles total. I can't believe I actually found some oil in there after that short of use. I'm a believer now.
