So we installed my after cat x pipe today on my 2011 5.0. Sounds amazing, just one problem. I seem to have lost some low end tourqe. No exhaust leaks I already checked. So question.....is this normal? I really feel like going back to My h pipe. Thanks for the info and feedback guys.

 

Know your feeling. You'll need a tune for it to bring out its potential. My car is pretty simple. Drop in K&N, FRPP sport axlebacks, and initial tune. 386 hp. Added FRPP X-pipe and no gain until about 6500, 5 hp. Sounded much quieter than H pipe too. Found out it wanted more fuel, idle all the way up. Some sound came back, had a different tone/pitch, felt like it was less labored reving thru the rpm range and picked up to 407 hp, and about 18-20 lbft or torque arcoss the board too. No mistaking the power jump. Aft O2's are still acive also. No issues thus far, drives real nice. The tune work was done real-time on the dyno, same dyno for 2nd round too.
